My brother has been looking into getting his own stuff [smilie=attention.gif] [smilie=attention.gif] [smilie=attention.gif]
Finally someone that doesn't bogart my tackle! and he pretty much only likes throwing blades. So after looking into these things i noticed the retrieve rate being better on the 300 than the 400, and figured I'd see the opinions on going with the smaller reel.
other than the difference in retrieve, so obviously a high gear ratio, it has a smaller capacity, but maintains the same drag ratings.

Keep in mind the inches per turn is with a full spool. Generally they go with the higher ratio on the smaller reels because there will be less line on the reel at the end of the cast. From the end of the cast to mid retrieve I would bet the 400 is actually faster.
