I'm not talking about muskie tackle. The major change was other components where 100-500/pks were eliminated and downsized to small number 25 size pks as example. I could not find what was needed and the clerk admitted they no longer carry what they used to in the bulk. Example, we use many custom pattern small in-line spinners for stream brook & brown trout as much cheaper than buying Panther Martins. The clerk was nice, but said the old days are gone.

[quote="Hamilton Reef"]The size of the store can be misleading. The Dundee store selection was far better few years ago when we could buy spinner components by the hundred and the fishing department was much larger than today. The Dundee store is disappointing now after moving departments around and downsizing their fishing tackle selection. I'm sitting on about $90 credits now, but will not make any more trips to Dundee after not finding what I needed last time.
Yer silly!!! Obviously, you haven't made too mant visits to this side of the state! While the Muskie selection in Dundee is not the best, it has doubled, if not tripled since they switched things around. It was pretty much just the back wall. Now there are many more options, you just have to know where to look. Some of the Muskie sized baits are mixed in with the Bass stuff as well. I will be there tomorrow and I'll post otherwise if this is not correct……
The manager of the fishing department is a real good guy and even donated a rod and reel to MMA a few years ago. He emails me questions about new baits and what he should carry. He is trying to get better quality baits through corporate and is trying to get local baits (like a Bondy) stocked.
Dudes, I live right over here by Rivertown and things are frigging Booming! Cant even find a parking spot at Uchellos, the plus side is there are many open spots at Applebees!! The guys at Gander have taken notice of the increasing demand for Muskie tackle but still havnt acted upon it. We will see what the new Cabelas has to offer.

I'll be over there tomorrow after spending the day at the MUCC Region 3 meeting. The last time the wife and I were there we took the kids and grand kids out to dinner at Texas Road House and let the son-in-law drive from their house. As he drove pass the Cabelas site I asked what's going in there with all the earth moving? No idea yet was the answer. Yep, we'll be visiting the kids often as possible with a side stop.

” /> hit cabeladin Dundee last month and mid winter break kids vacation took me near a bass pro shop in northern Illinois. I've got to say, bps beat cabelas IMO. Even picked up this krav crank in the clearance section for 10$, walleye. The muskies seemed to respond! LOL it was very cute…….
For size the Meijer store near the Cabela's site is 110,000 sq ft. I also noticed in Sunday newspaper Cabela's stock was over $33/share.
