I can get a really good deal on some pounders but there's only 2 choices all orange and a silverly metallic prostyle. Would these be good colors for inland lakes, ie Sanford, black, ovid [/img]

I'm by no means the guy to talk about inland colors but that silver/light baitfish color is great for LSC. It's worth buying…

Orange is an awesome color for any stained water. [smilie=2c.gif] The fish in my Avatar was a Sanford fish on an orange Bulldawg. [smilie=brows.gif]

Definitely buy them! Basically any color bulldawg will catch fish so you'll get action on those good colors. If you don't like them, sell them for a profit :).

There are certainly some colors that I don't like but the fish seem to like them all. As long as it's a Bulldawg the fish will eat it.

Not to mention Dawgs can be colored with permanent marker. The "industrial strength" work the best but any sharpie will do. I've got a whole set of various colors just for this, and have modified the majority of my dawgs to some extent. Both colors you mentioned would be easy to modify.

If you're going to color them with anything other than paint make sure to store them in another box and not with other plastics because it will bleed onto other lures.

Well I went back and bought all of the Pounders they had. Got 6 of them 3 sherbert's and 3 of the silver gamefish ones. $13.99 a piece. And got a 10" jake for $9.78.

And all other Musky Lures are on sale for 30% off…I had to go get what I wanted before I let the bag out!! 😈

Gander Mountain in Saginaw got a shipment that was meant for Wisconsin and couldn't send it back, so they have a whole aisle and endcaps filled with Musky lures.

Theres Shallowraiders(all sizes) Jakes (all sizes) Believers(jointed, staight, rubber tails) Phantoms, HellHounds, Medussa's, tons of Suick Thriller's, Every size imaginable of Muskey Mayhem Cowgirls, showgirls, Bucher Tinsel, regular Bucher.

WOW. I might have to make a drive over there even though it is a couple hours away from me.

Jason should let me know if you get time soon, could go to Gander then meet up and hit Sanford.

Oh and the thing is that these items are 30% off but some things are mis-priced low and some high. Like the Pro Pounders were marked at $19.99, I believe they should be around $29, and then it was 30%of the $19.

A lot of these chain stores have no idea what to price muskie lures at. I once got a mag bulldawg at Dicks for $3.99!
