It was certainly a tough day. Joe and I did have a good fish on for a few seconds but lost it. There were pike caught and Muskies moved . The day belonged to a 33 inch pike. The weather could have been much worse and I thank God for holding it back while we were on the water. The food was great and I got another NILS Cool . Special thanks to Kids wife who made the chili [smilie=2thumbsup.gif] . What happened to Indiana? [smilie=brows.gif]

We really didnt extend a formal invite to WLMC. They dont bring enough
people to form a "legal" team so we changed the format this year from a "Challunge" to an "outing" and added a spot for biggest pike.
I would like to say THANKS to all who braved the weather and attended
the outing. I think it was a nice turn out. Its cool that the MMA brothers who said they were going to be there, were there! [smilie=2thumbsup.gif]

Kid. you should leave it at Challunge, I don't know about you, but it's a Challunge to me! It was all worth the price of admission with your circus entrance!!! [smilie=applause.gif] Are you sure you weren't born under the Big Top!!!!!!!! [smilie=bow.gif] I got a monster pike 20" 😯 It was good to see and talk to everyone. Sorry I bailed on you in the end, but my hands couldn't take anymore (arthritis). Thanks for all you do. Steve

Thanks Kid and everyone else for a great outing and meal. Let's face it, we wouldn't fish for those damn things if we still didn't manage to have a good time when we can't catch any. Great fishing with you, Mike, I always learn from you, but let's go to a great pike lake next time so we might actually catch something!

Thanks to Kid & wife for the fine meal. The chilli really hit the spot and put a little warmth back in to the body. Thanks to Todd Frank for letting me fish out of his rig after mine bit the bullet.

Kid,

Sorry about that! I didn't notice it until I was driving home. I can either send it to you or bring it to the lure swap if you or somebody close to you will be there.

I was not not prepared for such a COLD day! [smilie=cold.gif] Still had a good time, tho. Did anyone else have any action with the few minutes that the sun kept popping out? 2 times when the sun came out, I had fish. Lost one that bit the end of my Red October and missed the hooks (39-40"er) and missed another on an 8 (36"er). Completely whiffed on it. Lost one more trolling, but never saw it. Didn't feel like a monster, tho.
Congrats to Slinger with the pike award! [smilie=2thumbsup.gif]

I wish I could've stayed for the food and BS. After having two daughters on HS swim teams (who are four years apart in school, so it's been eight years total), I'm quite pleased to say that last Saturday's league final was the LAST HS swimming meet I'm ever likely to attend. Thanks, Jim! And thanks to the Kid and everyone else who helped put this on this event — I had a great time. 😀 Here's a pic of the pike:

I also had one muskie follow, but there was no sun shining at the time.

Thanks to all…..Nice entrance Kid!!

I'm guessing the entrance had to do with a Chevy Caprice rolling to the launch in pitch black, with horns blasting, followed by the shouting of "HAVE NO FEAR… KID COULSON IS HERE!!!!"

I've witnessed that a few times… and it always brings a laugh!!!

It was more like him burning a lot of rubber with tons of smoke coming from his tires as everyone watched in awe 😀 . Still brought a lot of laughs though.

Brother Williams, you know me to well. [smilie=brows.gif]
Lets just say the mighty caprice doubled as a mud bogger.
I was running a little late but we got it done. My old lady is
a real trooper and sais thanks fellas for all the kind words.

Kid (Underdog) Coulson, my biggest regret was missing out on Mrs. Kid's chilli. So what happened to the prizes for getting a muskie? I like your thought on Muskies 26 Fisherman 0, even Michigan won Saturday. I guess every blind squirrell can find a nut! Cool Steve
