Has anyone ever targeted this area on Erie for muskies? I see walleye guys catching them here on cranks regularly. It looks like a good area to maybe explore. Being close to the Detroit river I would think a population of muskies would be here.

I talked to some walleye guides (I live in Toledo) and they have accidentally hooked some but not often. I would love to work this area in the Spring and see what happens. Last year we musky fished near the power plant in Monroe and never saw a fish.

Yeah I don't think numbers would be good. But they are in there in very low numbers. I also wonder about the maumee, lots of shallow areas and a deep channel. There could be a Ohio record swimming in the maumee.
