There's Harley Ensign, at the mouth of the Clinton River. It's a big DNR launch with good parking. It's nearer, coming from Eaton Rapids, too.

Brandenberg is shallower but should be fine under current water levels, I think. Had an issue there once with the gate not being opened one morning, and a lineup of rigs waiting just to get in. But it wasn't too long/late before someone showed up to open, and the point is keep their hours of operation in mind!…

I've never once seen the Harley Ensign gates closed in last 10 years. Ive launched out of there countless times. It's the ramp to use if your going to fish late. I've fish all night out there many many times and the gate is never closed. As long as you have a Recreation Passport on your license plate your good to go. They are also one of the few ramps to push it each fall by being one of the last ones to pull out the docks. The DNR Ramp near Deckers and North Channel is usually always open as well. Last you have the Selfridge Ramp close by that will usually keep gates open overnight.
