Does anyone have any preference of the 2.0 over the original or what's the best for jiging the Detroit river…

Ive never thrown a bondy 2.0, but I think I remember him saying he designed it more for a casting bait than a jiggin bait. I'm sure it will catch plenty of fish jigging so no harm in getting one and trying it out. Bondy usually is on muskiefirst.com regularly so you could ask this question on there and get him to answer it.

So far, my brother and I like the original better. The only reason is that the 2.0 swims a little funny because the tail was cut off and molded to one side. Not straight up/down like a Dawg. It swims in sideways.

The original bait will be the best for vertical jigging and he is coming out with a magnum size soon.

Original.

Depending on clarity you need three colors: Pearl, Black, Vomit Shad. You could add others for fun but those will get it done all the time on the DR.

Increase hook ups by placing a cheater hook on top of the eye of bait and then pin it down by placing your split ring over it. I've caught two of my biggest fish on this extra hook. Also, I won't jig anymore with fluorocarbon leaders and snaps. I've had both them break or open up during the violent strikes. I connect with split rings now and use steel.

Arus, call the Michigan muskie shop tomorrow. He has a black one, and I reserved it for you. He's not there anymore, so he's not sure off the top of his head if he has the Pearl.
