The 1448 Grizzly is very stable and would make an excellant muskie boat for the inland lakes. My brother has one with a 25hp Merc 2 stroke, plenty fast, and very well built, we don't baby it. We use it duck hunting and it makes a very stable shooting platform.

Lureless,

I've been looking on Tracker's website at the 1548. Do you have a bow-mount trolling motor? Looking at both the 1448 and 1548, there seems to be a built in bow-mount deck on the 1448 and not on the 1548. Did this present a problem for you when getting you trolling motor put on?

Joel,

I didn't have a problem. I have actually moved it since it was first put on. It was very easy, drill holes and put in the right part(can't remember what they are called, but can know where to get them), but mine is a few years older and has a wider front rail.

If it's like the new ones with the new rail system I saw at Gander Mountain you might want to check into it. I got mine at DnR in K-zoo. It is set up a little different then the one on line. You might want to check with them. You can get them in different arrangements beside what you see on line. Mike King makes a good point about stability for you taller folk. Bigger is better. If you want to fish in mine to try it out I could meet you at Murray anytime the water opens.

Mike
