Boy, I wasn't sure about this bass thing, but I have gone to a couple local meetings now, and I think I am about ready to completely change my target species… I am so energized about fishing again, I can't hardly contain myself. I talked to a bunch of LSC guys and they have amazing bass days and catch bonus muskies in numbers that make my season look pathetic. Why not catch 20, 30, even 100 bass in a day and throw in 3 or 4 muskies to boot??? Several guys have caught fish in the 50" plus class on bass gear… What a hoot!!!
These guys are great! I have waypoints coming out my back side… A whole new perspective…
Bassmasters Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i thought this was another april fools joke when i saw it in Figure 8, but i guess i was wrong. I expect to see you all on ESPN2 very soon. I was watching the lone star shootout event today and the winner had something like 135 pounds for the 3 day tourny!!! Good luck to you and more muskie for me 😀
Chad and Trevor thought they meant that you got to chase and catch Lance Bass! They've since discovered that the bass is just another fish and have gone back to muskie fishing and dreaming of Lance Bass…

B.A.S.S. is working out for Jon Bondy: Chad, I’m glad to see that your pursuing your dream! The funny part of this post is the fact that Will knows where to find these kind of pictures..
Career Winnings: $154,737.00
Avg. Per Tournament: $3,967.62
Cash Winnings: $114,421.00
Merchandise Bonus: $38,316.00
Cash Bonus: $2,000.00
you know your at the top of your game when you actually want to pursue a fish that isn't as fun to catch. [smilie=biggrin.gif] I have made a pledge to the mighty muskie, and it consumes my thoughts day and night. I coudln't even comprehend fishing for anything else at this point. But on the other hand, you guys have the know how to actually win some big bass tournaments i'm sure, so maybe this is like the proper career choice…?

That is exactly why Chad and Trevor should stick to dreaming of Lance Bass and not "living the dream" (sarcasm… take a big whiff) of a tournament pro…
The life of a "pro" like Bondy isn't as good as it looks really. Take that 155K career earnings and divide it by two (his number of years in in the Elite series). Then subtract two years expenses because he isn't going to have sponsor money to cover this stuff like KVD. So he's paying for:
– boat/repairs
– pre-fishing (travel/lodging)
– equipment/tackle (most at "pro pricing" usually 60% off)
– entry fees (55k alone for the 11 elite series events)
– insurance
– etc.
= $75,000-100,000/yr.
So he could be somewhere between $5,000 in the bank and a $45k loss in two years. At least he's chasing his dream and doesn't walk into a job he hates everyday like many people…

I love Google images! I actually searched for big bass or something like that and came up with that pic… needless to say it changed the response I was planning.
Hmm, I remember first joining MMA and Will giving me an old MMA forum password bass4bait. Now I understand the connection how some muskie guys were gaining the advantage. Chad certainly has the talent and materials to construct the heaviest duty leaders for the biggest bass. Sounds like a great way to learn new waters and have fun.
Go Chad!!![smilie=trophy1.gif]
Here's the latest in goby-fishing rigs:
