Well, I feel the need to post my belated apologies to a number of our Banquet Sponsors for the screw-ups on my part this year. I flat out did a poor job keeping track of the tickets as they came in and miscoded a bunch of folks as having purchased non-sponsor tickets when they paid their sponsorship fee in advance. While I have no justification for my neglect I can say that I had a prolonged illness and then death in my immediate family that took me out of pocket for close to a month and got me back home to Michigan less than 48 hours before the Banquet. Again, it is no excuse but it does explain why I was less than thorough in the event planning department this year. Our Banquet Sponsors are a very important part of the Banquest's success (and by association MMA's success) and I hope that my personal carelessness is not reflected poorly on MMA. I will be sure to be especially dilligent next year. Some of the Sponsors did not receive their raffle tickets at the door and I know who you are and will make it up to you next year but I wish you had brought it to my attention the night of the event so I could have made you whole this year. My apologies. In addition, given my poor bookkeeping I did not have enough Sponsor hats to go around and I am mailing them out this week to those of you that did not get one the night of the Banquet.
