Is there any evidence that these signs work? I'm not saying they don't I am just asking. Cuz I got to thinking about what a less than sportsman like person would think upon first seeing the know the diff sign.
I can't tell you how may people I've seen at launch sites reading the KTD sign and how many conversations it has sparked. I had a couple bass guys tell me one day, they got someone to release an undersize muskie because they saw the sign with the 42" minimum limit. We also get that little bit of advertising on each sign.

Curious, how many signs have been placed? and how many were stolen?Any thought on having cardboard or poster facsimiles available for purchase, not that I think that would stop vandalism, but who knows they could also be the ones used in the locked launch displays and possibly displayed at bait shops, state parks.
Is there any regulations on having advertising on these signs? Maybe Gander or Cabelas or someone would donate toward the signs in return they get their logo on them(tax write-off)?
This is just an estimate but about 2/3 of the signs are still in place.
We would, as we have in the past, have different types of signs based on their use. If it's in a kiosk then we have used a corrugated plastic or cardboard backed sign (cheaper).
The DNR wouldn't go for advertising on this type of sign, it was a struggle to get our logo on the current sign. Muskies, Inc. made the brilliant decision to place the Gander logo on their KTD sign. The problem is it keeps the sign from being placed in any other retail location. Jay's, BPS, Cabelas,Dic.k's, MC, etc. and all the Ma & Pop stores aren't too keen on putting Gander logo's around their store.
It would be helpful if the person responsible for this could make meetings but it's not completely necessary.
I truly appreciate all the feedback on this, it's nice to know that our members care and are interested in what is happening.
