I used to get access to MOOD Magazine online through MMA's affiliation with MOOD. Last month the MOOD site stopped granting me access to the magazine, and I just contacted the MOOD membership coordinator (Lindsay LaSerra, ** you do not have permission to see this link **) who claims having no knowledge or record of our affiliation; never heard of MMA. She says another MInc chapter is affiliated, but it's not chapter 47 (I assume it's the LSC chapter).
Anyone have any info on this? Are we no longer affiliated with MUCC?
Sorry, MMA is no longer an affiliated club of Michigan United Conservation Clubs. I apologize for neglecting to inform everyone. The dues were expensive, and with MMA being a turnkey operation where every dollar earned each year is invested directly back into the fishery and education projects, we couldn't justify the cost/benefit.
We will revisit and consider MUCC affiliation again in the future however, and I would appreciate everyone's input. Thank you
It's been long time since we were affiliated. I was still president when we were last affiliated and it was only for one year so it's probably been more than four years since that came to an end. I recall there being something in the newsletter about MMA not getting any return on our investment but encouraging members to support MUCC through their private memberships. It's a good organization but not a benefit to MMA and what we do.
