Don't forget that Chris Eilers will be presenting data from the Thornapple Lake tracking study.

When?
Thursday, April 6th, 7:00pm

Where?
Gander Mountain in Lansing

A note from Chris about Thursday said this…
"It will be different from last year, as this year will have a lot more on habitat selection."

I've got an idea. Let me know if it's terrible.

I simply will never make a meeting in Lansing at 7:00pm on a weekday.
Short of taking a vacation day or just plain playing hookey the next day anyway.

I would LOVE to see this presentation.

What if someone could record the presentations by speakers at meetings and then to raise a little bit of money, sell those copies to members who couldn't make it.

If someone can record this one I'll buy it.

Great idea… I can make this happen and burn it to DVD. I can incorporate any powerpoint used into the DVD so the slides will be legible.

We've had some seminars in the past that I would love to look back at if they were on DVD.

If this happens just let me know. I'll be first in line to buy a copy.
With members spread across MI, I'm sure others would be willing to buy them as well.

To bad I can't make the meetings but realistically I'd be useless the next day. If the meeting lasts 2 hours and I leave at 9pm I would get home at 11:00. Sleeping by 11:30 and awake by 4:00. Maybe back in the day I could do that but not now.

I have one suggestion. Many of the speakers do a P-Point presentation. The maps, graphs, charts, and data is what makes the speaker's presentation special. The speakers will often give you a CD copy of their program. That CD data can be neatly transposed to your later grant proposals or poster projects as needed. A straight video of the screen cannot be seen or digested as well as the original CD.

Hamilton – The video would be of the speaker not the screen if a ppt is used. As noted above, I can put the powerpoint into the video so that it is completely legible (better than live usually).
