Depends how much you want to spend. I have used a lot of different ones over the years and absolutely love Costa Del Mar. From a comfort and eyestrain standpoint they are excellent. I forget I have them on most of the time, never been able to say that about any other sunglasses. The 580 lenses do a great job cutting down the yellow light that causes eye fatigue. 580 lens in gray is prolly the best all around choice for muskie fishing. Pricey but not outrageous and have a lifetime warranty.

costas are always good. I'll add that a lot of people around here like solar bats, in the mossback green color. They are one of the only companies with that color lens, and for making out fish that color is hard to beat. I personally have some maui jim, in maui HT which is a very similar color, but is a bit lighter. Because they are lighter I wear them all the time, except when really sunny, and I go to a dark brown lens or grey.

H3o. Just got a pair for this year and wow! They are awesome. Very affordable, and the best part is they come with 3 different pairs of interchangeable lenses. Polar clear, smoke, or high vis yellow. And, they are a sponsor of MMA which is a huge plus. They support us – if possible, please return the favor!

As JP noted I like my Solar Bats because of the mossback lens color. However, you do get what you pay for in lenses and none of the Solar Bats or H3O glasses I have are as good as the quality of Costa Del Mar.

I love my Maui Jim's, I also have another high priced brand that I really like because I have different lens that I can switch out when the water/sunlight varies but I can't think of the name. To be honest I would have never bought due to the price however my girl worked at an eye e.n.t office and got crazy discounts. I'd never fish without them anymore you have such an advantage using them. Not really sure if the Brand or style really matters my dad loves the cheap clamp on polarized glasses and swears his are better than mine, but I will say mine are very comfortable and I had drive wear included in them and I don't even like driving without them. I also love that the lens are magnetized to the frame so changing them out in the boat when clouds roll over is a piece of cake!

I have some Costas and I really like them. One pair of my Costas are 11 years old and they are in really good shape. You get what you pay for. If you get a chance you should borrow some glasses from fishing partners and friends to see what suits you the best.

This probably goes without saying, but make sure you try them on before you buy a pair. I made the mistake of buying a pair of Costa's on ebay a few years back. They were a great deal and looked ok so I bought them. The lenses are sweet on them, except the frame does not fit my face well at all and it lets in a ton of light and it's real hard to see anything unless you cup your hands to your face to block out all the light. For a awhile I just kept wearing an old $10 pair of berkely's and they worked much better despite the cheap lenses just because they fit my face better. I have since upgraded from the trusty old Berkely's and the Costa's just sit in my truck as a back up pair. One of these years I will go buy another pair of Costa's that actually fit me well.

I just lost my Mossback Solarbats in the tahq river over the weekend…sad sad day for me and unfortunately I lost them the second morning of a 3 day trip so I was without them for more than half of the fishing time and had to make due with a pair of $3 ace hardware cheapies…I blame missing a Munuscong biggun Sunday on this.

I will be getting the same ones to replace them and that is what I would suggest to anyone either. They are night and day compared to other glasses I have used. I miss them dearly.

The Tahq is a sunglasses eating river for sure, the first pair of Costa’s I ever bought are also sitting on the bottom! I have been wearing Costa’s for the past 10+ years and they really are top notch, plus their customers service is also great should you ever have an issue.
