The new regs can't get here fast enough

Maybe I am lost but how would new regs effect this fish at all if they were in place already? On the other hand I would like to see if this rumor does turn out to be true and not another fish story

I have verified this fish is legitimate and was witnessed by a CO at time of weighing and verified by a biologist. The fish was 59" and weighed just over 58# (they settled on 58# even). The scale needs to be verified but there will be a press release coming from the DNR in the near future.

I just realized how lucky I am to be able to fish these untouched bodies of water. World class fishery. Period.

Good lord! Can't wait to hear the full story…..what a specimen! Knew it was possible, but wow, talk about BIG. Imagine that fish prespawn in her prime…..

Yes. I don't know off hand what the 8# (or more likely 10# if it isn't an IGFA line) record is currently.
