First off would this rig even be legal in Michigan?
You might have to make it pretty heavy but seems this concept could be dynamite in the Detroit river/S. Hole/LSCR channels. HMMMMM [smilie=brows.gif]
It might work in that one lake up by Lowell too. [smilie=biggrin.gif]
My buddy caught a baby 18 inch muskie on LSC using a straight crank Alabama rig for bass so I bet a bigger version would work great for bigger muskies. I like Duke's idea of the long trailer bait.
What about an umbrella rig with smaller swim baits on the umbrella and then a pounder or magdawg on the long trailer arm and working it just like a bulldawg?

I don't think it will drop fast enough in heavy current areas??? Not sure….
This was my concern too, but when I saw that rig with the blades and the shadzillas part of me went OOOOOOHHHHHHH!
With so many good anglers on the LSC system these days surely someone has tried this? It would prolly be hell to jig with but you could make one with 4 bondys.

I've done this a little bit up in Canada and have had some action on it. Little curly tail grubs or just willowleaf blades on the umbrella with a Pounder on the center arm seems to work best. If you think throwing just a pounder is a pain, don't even try throwing the umbrella rig with pounder lol. Fudally tackle already makes a set up for this:
