So some of you may remember last year I was up for my dream job and did not get it…well it came up again this year (long explanation) but this time I did get it. So I will be cutting my drive from 61 miles one way to 22 and reducing my stress as well as increasing my income. It was a major coup to pull off in this economy and in a highly competitive teaching field when programs are being cut rather than re-staffed. To give you an idea the last time this job was filled was in 1970 so I consider myself partially lucky and proud as I put myself in the right place with the right qualifications at the right time. So I am the new Power Equipment Technology Instructor at the TBAISD Career Tech Center. I am still trying to realize what all this is going to mean but it is awesome. Although on a side note apparantley its guys who live up north break their jeeps week. Kevin…Dude… First off, Congratulations. Second, this assault will happen, jeeps or jeeps. We will get together, we will cast/troll endlessly through that lake, and we'll bank on the fact that our luck will make up for itself and we'll catch one of the 2 surviving fish that are impossible to find and/or catch. Seriously though, I have another vehicle, I have a boat, I have my patented power stance for when the reeling gets tough, I just need a badass mofo such as yourself to skip second gear, rev up the rpm's, and get your ass to crescent shores boat launch on a monday or tuesday asap.
