Well hate to bring more bad news about murray but it seems a big girl was killed over the weekend. I found out from a friend who knew the guy and for awhile thought it was ather completely made up or the fish was greatly exaggerated. I just talked to the guy who was actually in the boat at the time and it is legitamate. I saw pictures as well. I guess the fish was right at 50 inches and weighed a touch over 30 pounds. Could it have been the biggest fish in the lake, who knows. Bummer [smilie=brickwall.gif]

Doesn't it always happen like that? We have who knows how many guys beating that water to find a big girl like that, and some schmuck comes in, nabs one, and kills it. [smilie=grimreaper.gif]

Big fish. Angler probably thrilled, probably one of the best days of his life. Completely legal.
Actually had a dream last night about a 50-incher at Murray that Scott Williams and I were trying to entice with a dead-sticked twitchbait…

I guess she was caught on the south end of the east side, towards the cove. I saw a good fish there this year but I dont think it couldv'e went more than 47ish.

There was one living there a couple years ago that I guessed 47-48. Could be the same fish, and if measured with a soft tape, it could read 50.

Sad yes but consider that she probably turned many new Musky anglers on to the sport even after death. More anglers = more support = more stocking, she lived well and died a hero.
