Well here it goes again; what are your goals for 2010?
Here are mine:
1.) Catch 60 fish
2.) Catch a 50"+ fish
3.) Night fish more
4.) Fish thorn a lot more (got out there only 3 times this past year)
5.) Get to a good amount of the outings and some meetings
6.) Get some friends on the lake and try to get them a fish or two

Boy, I hate setting myself up for disappointment!! LOL! Here's my list of goals for 2009:

1-Catch more fish (of course)
2-Bring up my % on the figure 8
3-Fish St. Clair
4-Fish more suspended fish
5-Catch a legal fish out of at least 3 lakes in Michigan
6-Get to know T-Apple better

I failed on 1,5

I caught less fish, but had higher length average for the year. I caught a legal fish out of 2 Michigan lakes. Came close on a 41 at Campau for a third. I learned T-Apple a little better, but still blanked.

I guess my goals for this year are:

Get Ethan & Amy a ski
Catch a *&^& fish out of Thorn
Bring my own boat out to St. Clair
New PB????
Bring up my hooking % on a &^%* DAWG!!!

I think Chad has pretty good peripheral vision, even when he's not focused on baits. $500 would get you about 10 of his lures… 🙄

1-Fish atleast one "new" water in Michigan

2-Fish more "prime times", weather patterns, moon phases, etc.. if at all possible

3-Take the time to use, learn and develop techniques for a bait that I currently own but don't use that much. Or simply put, add another "working tool" to my tool box

4-Focus on "big fish" water

5-Teach, pass on and share information with others who want to learn.

That reminds me of a goal I forgot about – fish with a lot more people in the club. It's always nice getting out with new people and seeing new waters, techniques, and fishing styles.

No idea at this point. I know I wont be on the water nearly as much as last year.
I gots to get out with Deadduck, I will hit LSC with DHC, A mission with Jason for sure, get one of my daughters out night fishing at least one time,
and maybe hit Ind one time.
As usual I want a 50(my first). I thought last year was "my year" I just had that feeling I was going to stick a hogg. Didnt happen. Maybe 2010.

1- boat 12 muskies (same as 09, i only boated 5 last year though, so staying with the same)

2- set a new PB (right now its only 43")

3- increase my landing percentage (last year I boated 4 muskies of the 18 I had on and lost WAY too many at the boat)

4- meet a few more MMA guys and fish with a couple people with more experience than myself (1.5 years)

5- Figure out Austin Lake a little more. I have had considerably more success at Bankson in less hours fished which seems to be basakwards from what everyone else talk to says.

I would like to put more members in my boat on quiet northern lakes and maybe a few rivers…yes that is an invitation, my boat split the gas pm if interested.

Fish with Adam again…we have a musky rematch coming hopefully with better weather (locationTBD).

Double down one day in my favorite river

Appreciate all the time and not put so much pressure on myself to land fish

limit the number of hand surgeries to zero- it screws up my fishing (may be wishful thinking)

1- Get to know the west half of Thornapple better
2- Outfit my go-to baits with premium trebles to see if it makes any difference in hooking
3- Fish with my brother and get him into a fish
4- Net a personal record for Scott Williams
5- Try to get up to Winyah, Margrethe, or Hamlin

I wonder if there's any way to fully document it when it happens with a certified scale??? Or wait…. is that fish going to be off the radar too?

Off the radar for sure unless she dies. Not that I'm going to ever have to worry about catching one that big…

Fish St. Clair with some of the club members.
Catch a fish at night
Catch a legal fish on a figure 8
Put a newbie on their first muskie.
