For fishing goals for 2008 I want to fish some more lakes this year. Want to fish Ovid this year and get out to thornapple a couple more times. Also want to catch more fish than last year; missed a lot of fish when first fishing the magdawg so hopefully I can get some of those in the boat this year. Will be going up to AML again this year so hopefully we will finally get a 50+ in the boat. We've seen some huge ones up there and it would be nice to get one. Also, I want to get some friends into musky fishing so I will be taking them out early in the year. Even if they dont catch one they will probably get to see some follows. With school finishing up for me this spring I will be able to get out a lot so hopefully I'll be able to fish more lakes and learn the lakes better.

I had a very enjoyable year last year. But this year I am going to try to take my muskie buddies out to Macatawa pre-muskie season and during the hot months for the fighting freshwater drum more frequently. Also I am going to try to fish Margrethe this year. I am enjoying seeing SW Michigan's muskies as they get bigger.

This year I want to develop a confidence in a technique that allows me to effectively fish deeper than the top 10 feet of the water column.

I would also like to catch a 47"+ fish.

What Scott said! I seem to get lookers from the deep, I just can't convert.
I am sure it is just a matter of time! [smilie=brickwall.gif]

My main goal for 2008 is to get a new toolbox with a key that can't be copied so Kingfisher can't steal my tools then loose them in Cedar dust. #2 Outfish Kingfisher casting using my trusty Weagle and new wooden Squirrley Burt look alike #3 Spend more time with my Dad before he forgets who I am [smilie=confused.gif] Queenfisher

I saw two fish last season on the LSC system that made me stop fishing and regroup…. I would like to just see them again…. I really would like a 50 casting from my own boat…

But mainly, my goal is to just have fun and live in the moment. And, try to add to the learnings towards understanding these critters.

I am concerned about deaing with the forecasted gas prices…. A trolling day on LSC is going to run a hundy… Can't do that every weekend.

I can copy/paste my goal each year until we get our GLS program established. I got word today MCWA should get our walleye fry and have our culture pond back online for 2008. When I tried to get a sneak preview for the GLS I got the standard polite no comment yet response. Nice try. Just a matter of time.
