Being a die hard Detroit Pistons fan I was curious to see what you guys who are into the pistons feel their expectations are for this upcoming season. After that trader Ben Wallace left them team for more money. The fact is he will be turning 33 this fall, and heading toward end of his career as far as being a dominating defensive force. he may win another DPOY award for Chicago, but it would be his last. As far as the Pistons go, with Muhammad Replacing Wallace, the offense won't be as stagnant, no missed lay-ups by our center do to his offensive suckiness. Nazr can actually shot a lil, rebound the same, and is bigger and taller. Plus after beefing up the bench a little, I think Flip will gear more towards the style of the suns, more run and gun, set offensive plays. The defense will be less, no doubt, but I think the 4 core starters are there. I don't think they will get 64 wins again, but they shouldn't have scoring droughts like in past. My expectations for them in 06-07 is a 3 seed behind Miami ( 1 ) and New Jersey ( 2 )… I think the pistons will just edge out Chicago. I still pick them to rematch Miami in the ECF and Pistons in 6…
What about you guys into the nba, how do you think the pistons will do???
Just like with Michael Jordan, the NBA will cater to the superstar, that is LeBron James. Expect to see Cleveland and Miami in the Eastern Conference Finals next year. They just couldn't quite pull it off this year, but expect to see it next year. Miami will probably win again and then Cleveland after that. That is my opinion.

You know what gets me is the 2003 draft still. I know Joe Dumars has done a geat job in Dtown. But the 03 draft was a big screw up. No one new carmelo would just be pretty good, lebron has done what we thought he would, but bosh and wade, wade more than any has become the best player in the league. One up on lebron, cause he has the ring. Darko in my opinion will have a breakout year in 06/07 along side howard in orlando. But with ben gone and darko a bust it has left a hole. I still think cleveland is a few players away, remember during this last playoffs, a big weapon for Cav's was flip murray cause larry hughes mist a bunch of games against the pistons, well, we signed flip murry. I think detroit has a shot like i said, but out of the west i am taking a "healthy" san antonio team.
