"A chaffing spring is used in each loop to minimize the risk of wear. On one end, a swivel, and the other a solid ring with a 250# or 300# Stay-lok snap. "
_______________
I've never seen a chaffing spring either, good idea. What I've been using on my flouro loops is fiber optic " holder/ keeper". I don't know exactly what it's called but all you bow hunters know what I'm talking about. That clear plastic thin tubing that fiber optic comes in. Any bow shop has them, and they probably just throw them away after they pull out the fiber optic. They're strong, thin, clear, and with the slightest heat they can be shaped to match the curve in the end of a flouro loop. I don't heat it with the line in it, I use a piece of steel leader material. After slight heat with a lighter, I bend it, and hold it for a few seconds while it cools. This keeps its tear drop form. Then I simply pull the piece of steel leader out and reinsert the flouro. It's fast and easy. Best of all….its free.
