I now understand why good handmade musky baits cost so much. I've been trying to make a good bait by hand for a year and a half. I think I'm almost there. A few minor problems to over come yet. Top picture are 10" trolling baits I made for open water trolling. They do wander but not to the wild level of other lures. They'll get to 7 mph before blowing out, and the fish hawk says they'll get to 22' with 100' of line out(65# braid). Middle picture are 9" trolling lures , similar action and depth . Bottom picture is a 7.5" twitch bait. Cast down to 6 or 7'. Slow, head up rise and completely by accident I built them turn 90 degrees with a little slack after the twitch. I really like how this one turned out. The fish seem to like it too.

Awesome looking baits. I'm especially interested in that twitch. Its very hard to find one that can run deeper than a few feet and still pull the 90 deg swing like that. Ive been looking for a deep running twitch like that for a long time.
