WI – DNR's 'Mr. Muskie' dies at 93
SPOONER — Wisconsin muskie anglers lost more than a fishing friend this past week.
When Art Oehmcke died at 93, the state bid goodbye to a recognized pioneer in muskie fisheries management.
Oehmcke, as a fisheries supervisor for the Department of Natural Resources, largely was responsible for changing the Wisconsin muskie landscape.
