On a more serious note, what do you guys think are they going to win tomorrow? Twins have been so hot, I think they are due to lose. As long as Miguel doesn't show up drunk LOL.

If they lose there will be some of the public blaming Miguel for his actions. It reminds me of the Wings playing in Edmonton in the Stanley Cup back in the 80's?? Probert, Klima etc.. out drinking and doing blow night before game 1 or 2?? The Tigers could have wrapped it up over the weekend but now it's gonna be tough to pull out a win against a team that can cause some headaches. It's gonna be tough!

I know he's only a rookie, but I like Porcello's chances of keeping the Tigers in the game. If the Tigers can put up a few for him early I really like the Tigers chances… but the Twins are scary.

Me too… I haven't caught a tiger in so many years I'm starting to forget what they look like.

If somebody has a hex for that evil Metrodome, please cast your spell now. I had hoped to never watch another baseball game in that place again – and I definitely don't want to see the Tigers’ season all end tonight in yet another episode of cruel Metrodome voodoo. CRUSH them, Tigers!

Farve put a pretty good hex on it last night but for the MN team. Maybe all the luck for the MN team ran out last night.

I can take Favre or leave him. He is one of the greats, I get it. But those announcers were holding his nutz so tight Im suprised he could breathe.

Doesn't matter to me if tigers win or lose, they suck regardless. Maybe if half their pitching staff wasn't out with injuries or mental instabilities they would be something to watch. Even if by some chance they win, they will get stomped 3-0 in the post season

It was a tough one, but I still love my Tigers!!!

Would've liked them to give Inge the base when he was hit with bases loaded in the 12th, but the Twins had a little bit of Devine Intervention workin for em.

Great game with a ton of mental mistakes, Miner really sucks, Leyland should of never left him in. I think 5 batters, got one out, 4 hits, HB, Granderson has to freeze. Oh well they blew it.

Well I did keep tabs on the game. Pretty exciting really. I think the Tigs gave that one away though.

Exactly!!!!! Raybun trying to slide and make that catch????? Keep the ball in front of you! Grandy not backing him up. Grandy getting doubled up at first…. Leyland leaving Minor in, Leyland leaving Rodney in for 4 innings.
And HOW many times did they have a guy on 3rd with less than two outs and NOT score a run??? Basic baseball. Gotta score on those chances.

They definately gave it away…….. oh well. time to watch the wings!

I don't know the numbers don't lie with Rodney, 1 blown save this season, he has the best change up in baseball. Brandon Lyon and Ni were solid this year maybe just a few more pieces and trying to figure out what to do with Robertson, Willis, and Gallaraga.

Rodney scares me every time he touches the ball, but as Corey said the numbers don't lie. I had no problem with Rodney being out there for 4 innings. He was still throwing hard at the end of it, plus they didn't have anybody left on the bench with as good of stuff as Rodney has. If anything IMO Leyland should have left Porcello out for a few more outs.

Would of, could of, should of… hind sight is always 20/20.

Bottom line is they need another quality starter to go along with Verlander, Jackson, and Porcello if they want to compete next year. They could also use another contact hitter or two with some speed on the basepaths. The Twins had a heck of a year, but the team that scares me for next year is the White Sox with their starting pitching (possibly the best starting pitching in baseball next year)

the one good thing about it is… I don't have to leave the lakes early to watch the Tigers anymore this year.

**Good point Scott. That was one of the good things about the Lions post Barry Sanders era. I dont care to watch them anymore, think Ill go fishing!
** Again,.. Im not a baseball fan, but I hears it was a good season for DET as they wernt really picked to contend for the division. If thats true I give 'em credit for hangin tuff, even though they picked a really bad time to hit a slump.
** Why is a guy considered a "closer"? Is it because they can throw good stuff but only for a short time before burning out?

Last nights game was a heart stopper. When they had the bases loaded with one out and Inge at the plate I thought for sure they would ice it. I cant believe Leyland pulled Magglio when he has had the hottest bat ???? Sometimes he just makes no sense to me. Rodney has never thrown more then 2 innings and was in uncharted waters. He hit a rock. But it was great game and had me out of my chair on no less then 4 occasions. The throw to the plate by Rayburn, double plays ,etc. It was a heck of a ball game. The Yankees are going to murder anyone they play so the twins who are really screwed for a starting pitcher are going to get blown out tonight. My guess? Yankees win the world series in 5 games.
