Everyone have a great and safe Thanksgiving. Mother nature is going to try to make ice this weekend so if you head out on the water be extra safe and wear your life jacket. If you're headed to the woods, shoot straight and wear your orange.
Looks like it's almost the season to chase steel… time to dust off my float rod and jigs?
I`m pretty much done. Was hopin for some 35-45 dgree weather for turkey week but that has been shot to hell. Was reading on a webster post they already have 1/2"ice on the backwaters and half way out thru the narrows as of 11/18 😯 Looks like a december trip to tippy may be out to…..CRAP !!! Boat is in a nice warm spot ready to go though and I`m glad to have my garage back….so is my wife 😕 The cold weather is coming to fast and the season may end quickly, but could open back up with some warm weather in early december…..oh well,I needed some closure ,and I blew a good net job in late october that I wish I could have back.
Happy turkey yall
gobble gobble 🙂

I've just spent the last several days helping a neighbor clean and process 176 turkeys. I don't care to see another turkey Thanksgiving day. However, we also cleaned couple dozen 12-13 pound chickens one of which my wife will serve for Thanksgiving. This is much easier in the rotisserie and plenty for us. We saved another 16 of the big chickens to grow even larger for Christmas. The coyotes are having a feast behind my house on the huge piles of turkey/chicken remains.
