i would like to thank a few people for pointing me in the right directions this year, thanks to pete lebaron and duke for the advice, lures and the few times we fished together, thanks to brian for taking me to a few new ponds and netting my fish 😛 ,and greg for helping showing me the ropes.and thanks to mma for a good fishery
And I have to thank Ron for teaching me how to actually LAND a muskie, or at least showing me because I didn't get it apparently… I have set all kinds of personal records for LOST fish this year. 😕
Anyway, without just spoutin' sunshine & b.s., I have to say Ron is about the best fishermen I've seen, period. Real quick study, and files away all information with a purpose, and knows when to apply that info at the right times. You might have got a few tips along the way that sped things up, but that's all Ron, because you would have figured them out anyway. Darn good stick.
Sticking with the Thanksgiving theme, I also say thanks to MMA for all the work done for us fishermen. The out-of-state fish tranfers are the greatest achievement and have made the most impact. The greatest struggle may be always having to pry the DNR's head out of its butt, even there great strides have been made which have helped the fishermen.
I agree with you Duke. Anyone who can fish Sanford and consistantly land fish from there definetly has some very high muskie skills, Ron fishes harder then anyone I have seen, it could be cold, windy, freezing drizzle, and he don't complain, just stays focused. I try to take a bit from his Discipline out on the water, so that I have the same determination to get the results he does. I got you beat so far on more fish landed this year Ron, only because I fished more hatcheries ( ovid, murray ) …haha But the year isn't over and I know you'll boat more fish still to come. Really, since last few times I fished with you, you have had several multi fish days!!!
