Speaking of Gander Mtn, anyone use their rods. They had a selection at the portage/K-zoo store from 6ft to 7'6". Looked nice and were relatively light, handles felt nice etc.
I assume all rods come with guides compatable with braids? They also had 300 yds of 80lb Power Pro for $35 seemed like an OK price but I've not seen the big spool anywhere else
NSTAGATOR – You needed to say "wrapped in and wearing ONLY the blanket".
Gander Rods
Lon – Great rods for sure. Different "guide series" rods will have different actions at the various lengths. You'll find rods from 6'2" up to 8'. With a slightly lighter action at some lengths, these rods work great with superbraids. I'm of the opinion that most companies build their muskie rods too stiff – these are not.
You can't beat what you get for the money when you buy a Gander rod.
