esox double d crankbait:
As with all the ERC lures it's bulletproof. With the versatility of the DDD, that can be fished at almost any depth I haven't found a spot in my lineup for the DD and traded off the one that I had.
schutt's sledge jerkbait:
I can't give any feedback on this one since I've never owned one but it's got a good reputation.
creepin tom topwater:
Like the sledge I've never owned one but a similar lure, the hawgbuster, has been good at night.
maina doc topwater:
This is a good bait for the same places and times that a Jackpot gets the job done.
squirrly jake crankbait:
I'm not a fan of the design but my own version of this lure has been very productive.
maina glider:
I'm assuming that you mean the Magic Maker from Mania?
This depends on if you got an old wood version or the plastic. The older wood models are notorious for loosing all the paint and clearcoat. If you're looking for a wood bait like this get a Tippy Darter. Unfortunately Drifter has had issues with paint on the first plastic versions and hopefully they have worked out the paint issues with the plastic model. Bottom line is that if the paint isn't peeling it's a great bait.
An FYI on the DDD………Dick Pearson said in Chicago that he was selling his ERC tackle company to Drifter Tackle that Saturday. I've always liked the design and quality workmanship of the ERC lures like the DDD and the relatively new "Hell Hound". I wonder if that will continue? Anyway, Pearson said he is "retiring". Must have gotten a nice offer, down payment check and monthly income stream. Good Luck!
