I am currently fishing with rods less than 7'6"es long, my reels are 6500 or smaller. Because of being afraid to try something new, or because I was to cheap, I have been taking years off of my musky fishing carreer by over working myself. I like to throw 10" jakes, and big bucktails and move them very quickly but 6500's really take a toll on my arms after a while. My question is this, how many of you have spent any time throwing the ABU 7000. If you haven't and you enjoy throwing the bigger baits than give it a try, like quitting smoking, it will add years to your musky fishing life. Just thinking out loud.
