I would say 4 fish in a 45 mins period was the highlight, all caught on topwater around sunset. The low was and is still having people complain and threaten me cause i musky fish on sanford and promote it. I am being very patient with people who don't care, and just want to bi*ch about things. I had a guy come in to my store last week saying "hey i caught a few this summer, killed them all, cause they are eating all the crappies" I asked if they were legal size, , he laughed and said "i don't care how big they are, i just get rid of them, i cut a 36" open and it had crappies in it"…which i understand, cause they are going to eat anything they want, but it was not the point. So he purchased some things from me, I got his name, address and phone. After he left i called the RAP line and let them know all about it. They "assured" me they would handle it, whoknows there. This is old hat, everytime it comes up. But Sanford has potential for a truly great trophy fishery, so we're going to have to stick to our guns and educate people, with talking, mind, fist,or foot in their a$$ 🙂
