Hello Peeps,
Hope your tourny went well and you guys got some biggin's. I spent the day working, well more like day dreaming for 10 hours that i was fishing..lol
I have some Rod questions, for any who would like to give me info. I use a few 7'6" med hvy bass pro shops rods, and a hvy action 8' quantum rod. They have been working good, but what is a good heavy rod to throw big baits with, so when I cast the recoil wouldn't snap a rod tip, or on a twitch retrieve I would get more response, or even setting the hook I would get more hummph…?? I heard gander guide series are good? what about Shimano muskie rods? I don't want to spend a ton, but want decent rods for next year, any ideas are welcome fella's…
ohh one more thing about the SALMON report I posted, my friends got back today and hammered them on 10lb fluorocarbon line (seagar) and woolly bugger flies size 8 & 6 with about 5ft leader from the split shot, they used a bunch of different colors, hot ones were black and green though, and they did get one steelhead all by WALLAHALLA…middle and upper parts are still looking good, plus the rain we are supposed to get this coming wknd should drive even more in.
Peace out Homies – Bryan
