I went to murray lake yesterday on my first ever strictly muskie fishing trip. I was out there forabout 6 hours casting around large submerged weed beds. casted bucktails, spinners, topwater jitterbug, mostly all firetiger, and red and white. didn't catch any, it was too busy all day, but at night we were alongside a pretty steep drop-off and saw about a 35 inch muskie about 5 feet from our boat, tryed fiqure 8ing, he chased it for a while but then took off. Does anybody have in tips?
Biiigfish,
Although fish can still be caught at Murray,
I dare say it is the states 2nd most hammered lake.
Boats per surface acre Id say its #1. Add on the REC
traffic and things get that much harder.
I would try deeper water, try for suspended fish,
and try night time. They have seen about everything
so dont be afraid to get wacky with your presentation.
Im no expert,… just some things to try. Good luck!!
