Has anyone been to Munuscong Bay for Muskies? If so, any help or tips would be appreciated as I will be fishing there from October 12th thru the 15th. Also I will be doing some multi-species fishing and going after smallmouth and walleye as well so any info would be greatly appreciated. Or PM me if you don't want your information public.
Thanks in advance,
Tom

Haven't been there in awhile, but used to go up there in the fall quite a bit. We fished primarily from the Riverview Resort down to Raber Bay. I dont know if you prefer casting or trolling, but I'd at least start out trolling until you get an idea of where the weedbeds/edges are and the rockpiles. I never liked the river proper altho I'm sure theres fish in it as well. Strong current and boulders. For me anyway the musky fishing had a way of being hot or cold, but even on the slow days we'd pick up enough pike and walleye to keep it interesting. Short leads and LSC style plugs work well enough, until you get an idea of where things are you don't really want your bait more than 3 or so foot down imo. Big bright baits catch lots of small pike.
Other than that, the bay can get a bit choppy but the biggest wave I've seen was a freighter wake. This time of year most of the people we saw at the launch were duck hunters, wasn't uncommon to not see another boat fishing all day.
