There will be another pre-season lure swap held in the greater Midland area this year. Turnout was much better than expected last year, so we've moved to accomodate. An email was sent out last week to the area fisherman that we have addresses for, but ALL are welcome. Here are the details:

Saturday March 17th, 4 pm
Lure Swap – $10 entry (and/or lure donations) covers pizza, munches and pop (BYOB), and a chance to win a collection of new lures. All proceeds go to the club.

Location: Ron Berry's house, in heated garage:

Just shoot Ron (** you do not have permission to see this link **) an email, or call (Ron – 989 205-2638, Pete 989 600-0549) so we can get a head count. Also, contact either of us if you have any questions on directions or anything else. Hope to see you there!

A complete blast as usual. Some very good 'what-can-we-do-to-bring-back-our-fishery'-thoughts, comments and suggestions for sure.

Here are email quotes from 2 of our non-member newbies that came:

"What an awesome group of dedicated guys you have up here Pete. Once you let folks know that we were brand new to the musky world, they didn't just give us advice on places, times and ways to catch fish, but they actually GAVE us about $80 each in lures!! Are you kidding me? That kind of thing just doesn't happen in other sportsmen's clubs. Good luck this year, I hope the Sanford musky fishing picks up to where it used to be (and hopefully beyond!) – and let me know where we can help! Thanks."

"Just wanted to thank you and everyone else for inviting us, and being sooo generous with getting us started in the Musky game! All the help was phenomenal, and just listening to people that have been successful sure boosts the confidence. We were talking all the way home about how, thanks you guys, this will be the year us!! Thank Ron personally for holding the swap at his place for us, will ya? What a blast!"
