This just popped up on my desk last night. Just wanted to share. Follow the link below for more details.

The low water levels of Kingston Lake have left it devoid of woody debris for bass and muskie. Woody structures are vital to healthy fish communities as they provide cover, spawning area, and habitat for smaller fish which feed the ecosystem. We plan on building new fish structures to improve the habitat for bass and muskie in the Lake.

The project will be both Thursday the 24th and Friday the 25th, so come on out one or both days to help make a difference. Kingston Lake is located in Alger County, near Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, so it would be a great chance for a long weekend getaway. The project is at the Kingston Lake State Forest Campground so feel free to stay a night or two and get out on the water.

Lunch will be provided along with free T-shirts and a digital subscription to Michigan Out Of Doors magazine.
