WARSAW, Ind. – The state Department of Natural Resources has reopened nine lakes in northern Indiana's Kosciusko (Koss-ee-OSS'-koh) County to motorized watercraft.
The lakes were closed March 16 because of unusually high water levels. The DNR said Friday the threat of flooding has passed.
The affected lakes were Tippecanoe, Oswego, James, Big Barbee, Little Barbee, Irish, Kuhn, Sechrist and Winona.
