Specifically the ones with the very non-erradic action if that is possible. I am talking the Manta, heck-hound, and slip-slider and the like. When is your favorite time to throw them?? Are they productive for you?? How fast do you work them???

I just traded Paul Peck of River Run 6 Little Claws for 6 Mantas. They look tough as nails. Kind of predictable on the side to side issue. I may wreck one and see if I can get it do cool tricks. I love the Slidin Shad and prefer it over the Magic Maker. I have one Phantom that I reaaly like and it moves Big Fish. Still in all though Glides dont put many fish In my boat. I get lots of looks but few takes. I will have to gain more confidence in Glides before they get more space in my tackle boxes. Kingfisher

I own two gliders. A Phantom and a Magic Maker, the most I ever threw one was down in Indiana last November with Ice. I moved a couple nice fish on it but no takers.
I am reluctant to use them because I hear to much of " they call fish up to take a look but rarely get bit". Do they really work? or are they just fun to throw?

I agree, I have more fish just look at them (big fish too) its just once you get some of those gliders near the boat, there is not much more you can do with them. Like the magic maker I like (I have caught fish on it) but if I try to pause it, it get tangled. I have to keep twitching, and then it does a horrible figure eight. With me, its either they grab it way out there, or I wont get bit.
