Get a depth contour map and you will need 10 inch trolling baits. Fish the current breaks looking for bars and inside turns. Troll close to the breakwalls but work youyr way in as there are lots of snags in the river. Lokes, Jakes, Slashers, and Grandma lures would be the best to run in there. Kingfisher

SKI – I wouldn't call is dangerous current at all. The area from Wyandotte down to Celeron Island is good water in June and July with casting, trolling and jigging techniques. If your trip is going to be for more than a day or two you'll want a Michigan and Ontario licence because there's some great water in Canada. The flats and bays surrounding the islands in that area are great and if you pick up the hot spots map you'll be able to pick out so many good looking areas that you'll need a week just to fish all of them.
