CO Reporting Period 5/23/05 – 6/5/05, DISTRICT 10

CO Kiel and PCO Luce investigated a complaint they received of a subject who had caught a large muskellunge out of season and was said to be at a local marina getting his photograph taken with the fish. CO Kiel and PCO Luce immediately responded and were able to locate the angler as well as the photographer who had taken the angler's photograph with the muskellunge. CO Kiel and PCO Luce were able to determine that the angler had immediately released the muskellunge after the photo was taken, however the angler couldn't explain why he was still in possession of a smallmouth bass taken from Lake St. Clair during the closed season. CO Kiel and PCO Luce issued the angler a ticket for possessing the smallmouth bass during the closed season.

COs Todd Szyska, Peggy Ruby and PCO Elton Luce issued two tickets to muskellunge anglers, one of which was a charter boat captain, who had been trolling for the species with too many lines.
