Hi all,

I fished budd this morning, all weeds were pretty much gone, and cabbage wasnt visable either. I only marked fish in one long stretch of 23-30 foot water, south of the island to the 20 foot water at the south end before it comes up shallow. I tried deep crankbaits, as most fish were suspended 15 to 25 ft in 30 ft mainly. I tried jigs, bulldogs, fluttering spinnerbaits, then i trolled a few passes, still nothing. I mean this area i was in, was the only area on the entire lake i marked fish, like they were all in a 75 acre spot. I was kicking my self for not having minnows to jig, but i would hate to kill a trophy fish if he swallowed the hook. So beats me, i am new to fall fishing for these boys, but i was baffled, thinking maybe the fish were just shut off, the water was stained and about 63 degrees, and budd is very clear usually, so who knows?
