Ran out this evening to Lake Michigan from Muskegon Lake and lost the Beckman out of a pvc pipe in the bow that I thought was secure. It was vertical, tucked behind a plate. Had my cousin with me who was ready to jump in after it. A quick turnaround had us back to it as it was still bobbing, handle up, with the pvc still around the handle. I did fill the handle with some dense foam a couple of years ago. Maybe that saved it. One fellow surmised that air is lighter than a foam so it would sink with an insert. 🙄 Anyway I got it back. Ya learn something every trip.
