I am catch and release Musky enthusiast with two kids. We have a property with my parents on the far Northend end of Waldron drive near the point. looking on advice on what baits to use for Musky in the spring. Will be up there this weekend. Got a 40" last year mid summer 20 yards off our pier in 25 foot of water on bucher tail (chartruese) in early AM. Several follows off the south side of the sand bar in 3' last spring. Any advice would be appreciated.

P.S. has anyone caught any walleyes in bankson. Thought I marked some last year on the locator, understand they were stocked there in the 80's and 90's.

Seen some BIG walleyes on suicks and reef hawgs.Have had a few take shots at them and miss.Bankson is a good nightbite lake.Just follow the 16-20'edge and cast up to shore. Also zing some casts from 20 out to open water.Look for schools of gills being harassed, you`ll see boils.Good bucktail lake in spring.Try topwaters also.Fish have seen A LOT of the same thing bait wise and are pretty finicky in the clear water.Try throwing something ODD.I think quite a few fish are taken by bass anglers on smaller baits, etc….

Don`t know of any great maps as the lake has changed dramtically(water down)in the last 10 years. The lake is about 85-90%the size it used to be.
