Fished Murray 10/6/2022 from 8am-2:30pm
Water Temp: 60-61
Clarity: 10'+
Weeds: Almost all the shallow chara is gone. Shallow pondweed still around along with deep coontail

Weather looked juicy so took the day off from work. Moved a nice Northern strain at 8:15am on a topwater. Had a 4 hour lull where I threw topwater, bucktail, jerkbaits. Moved another nice Northern strain at 12:30pm, but it could have been the same fish as it was similar size and very close to where I moved the fish in the morning. Then moved a GLS around 1pm and caught a mid-30s GLS around 1:15pm. Fished one other spot after that and then went home. It still amazed me the color differences between the northern and GLS in this lake. Northern strain are very brown, gold, and almost orange at time while the GLS are very silver and white.

Very interesting, and what makes it even more amazing is how on other lakes the 2 strains can look so similar! Cool. Add it to the loooong list of Muskie mysteries
