Michelle and I blitzed the U.P. for 8 fish over the weekend thru the 6th. Campgrounds were full in the east so we went west. Fished a lot of new water including Stanley and more of the Paint river. Gas prices sucked!!!! Water temps ranged from 79 on shallow dark bottom lakes to 70 on deep clear waters. We managed a 42 and a 43 for big fish . This was a nice relaxing vacation . Michelle got a 42 incher on the third figure 8 with a Bucktail. I got my first night fish (10:30) also on a Bucktail. Flies were bad on the lakes with high water temps. We avoided warmer waters and went north to clearer lakes. Kingfisher
