Fished the lake with two snakes on Sunday. Sorry guys thats all your getting on location 🙁 . Started at 6:00 am windy with threatining skies 😈 😈 Time to fish!! Water was slightly stained visibility to about six feet, 70 degrees in the water 74 in the air thermocline at about 14 feet. Fish were ALL OVER the surface lots of northerns moving up shallow, moved in for a look Bluegills on the beds?? WTF this is not the only lake in the area with gills bedding late. 7:00 am turned around and realized we were about to get fubared by a nasty storm. Wind kicked up to about 35 mph and the rain came hard. Fished until the lightning got bad then ran for cover screaming like little girls. Waited for the squall line to pass and moved back out. The fish were still going nuts moved a small ski and caught one pike. Lots of northerns hitting the bait with their mouth closed close to the boat? Weird. Dave moved three gars one of which nailed the Bikini bait. Then we moved a nice ski 45+ followed one 8 and couldnt get her back the rest of the day. A little later he had a hit from a dogfish in the low forties. I also saw the biggest carp I have ever seen it was forty pounds if it was an ounce. Everything was SHALLOW marked some fish in 30 ft suspending at fifteen but dont know what they were. The sun came out and the wind died about noon so fished till 4:30 and called it a day. Overall 1 for twelve Better than a stick in the eye.
