Fished mostly Raber Bay. Winds were pretty strong the whole time limiting where we could fish.

Water temp was 62-66. Water clarity varied from different spots. Also 2 inches of rain Thursday night created a little more stain. Very nice cabbage from 12 feet and shallower.

Locals said it was 90's the day before we got there, and of course we brought the nice cold front, strong winds and unstable weather with us.

Did a mix of walleye and muskie fishing. Didn't see a muskie, and caught only a few walleye's. Also caught a few smallies, and a few northern. Had a great time with my dad, uncle, and grandpa.

Also fished Caribou Lake for a few hours to get out of the wind, and managed a few northerns. That was also a beautiful lake and I would definitely spend more time out there again.

Thanks to Steve and Duke for sharing some info.

I don't mind the cold fronts too much this time of year on the river, it seems to have less of a negative effect as the fall season progresses but the heavy water can really play with a guy's mind, no matter how big your boat is!
