So everybody pretty much knows what the water was like etc… etc…
We started out in the flats area as that seemed to be the producing area early in the day last year. Saw A fair amount of surface activity including a few fish clear the water but no action up top. 45 minutes in Dave set the hook on a decent fish, I thought we were gonna get some points early 🙁 yeah right, It was a nice pike though 36.5 inches unhappy but un-harmed Laugh I had a nice fish on on top of the flat up in the 8 ft water but lost it when it got its head around something What it was and where it goes–nobody knows. a few other kamikaze pike and a decent bass were the rest of the action. We stayed on the flats until around 1:30 then tried a few spots I had marked on the GPS last year. Managed to not move a few stumps but did leave a bulldawg and a nice spoon on them, Its bad when you cant retrieve them even with 100# power pro. I would have went swimming for them but they wer both 16+ down oh well Ill get more.
