Burned a vacation day today and the Queen and I went back to Budd Lake to try again to get a hook in the big girl. No luck finding her and only contacted three fish all casting. I got one to eat a S.S.SHAD at the north end of the lake up in the last of the weeds. Lake weeds are going fast . I marked a couple of open water suspenders but could not get one to go trolling. Water temps started at 49.3 and ended at an even 50 . The fish we saw were active and chasing hard. The 36 incher I caught pounded the bait . Got to love it. Last trip to This lake for us this year.
