Well the stinky Salmon are not in the river yet which makes it the perfect time ot go casting for some toothies. I took the wife out and we started off with a few Pike right away which made her think we would see fish at every single weedbed we cam across 🙄 . OF course we all know better…water was clear and between 72 and 73 degrees. Structure and sand are all moved around due to the storm and them running the Dam at full spill for several days. So we get down to a nice spot and as I am watching a stump under the boat a little dink pike whacks my spoon, as I look down I see a high thirties Musky right below it. I'm thinking that this is gonna be awesome when that Ski eats this pike… But nnnnooooooo it takes off and that was the last I saw of it. Oh well it was still fun. I think I am going out with Bearclaw Friday so maybe will have better news.

I noticed the post on the Muskie in the Big Manistee River. As a kid my dad and I fished Manistee Lake. I remember him catching them then.
